Jim Manduca started in the film industry in the 90s and over the years become involved with many other forms of multimedia. In the early 2000’s he left film to pursue his other passion – Science. After obtaining a BSc in Biology and Psychology he moved to Korea to teach but ended up back in media production and eventually, swept up by the gaming culture where he then taught himself 3D and became an environmental artist at a Korean game studio.
Jim returned to Canada in 2006 and brought his newly acquired 3D skills back to film and started a small media company called Triogen Media – a small multimedia company specializing in Video, VFX and web development. In 2008, with a baby on the way, Jim decided to go for a more steady job and moved to Ottawa to be part of a Karbon Arc- a four man team working under the umbrella of Fuel Industries. Since then, Karbon Arc has disbanded but Jim stayed on to run Video and 3D production for Fuel and has worked at the Art and Creative level with clients like Lucas Film, Disney, McDonalds and many others.
